Dawn L. Hargraves was born and raised in Suffolk County, New York, where she continues to reside except for those three months each year that she resides in the Oceanside Village of Ocean Beach, where she holds the elected office of Trustee.
She is a practicing attorney whose work is focused on assisting men and women through the difficult process of divorce. Her professional work is rooted in addressing all aspects of the uncoupling process with compassion, support and integrity. She has many accomplishments in this area including NAPW Woman of the Year, Top Attorneys of North America and 10 Best Attorneys—American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
When Dawn is not working, she is involved in and sits on several community organization boards raising money for those in need.
While Dawn is busy with her professional and volunteer life, she believes her most important role is that of “mom.” She is most passionate about raising her two teenage daughters, Kate and Kimberly. She loves being the mom that doesn’t say no to taking them on all sorts of adventures, including hang gliding, musical concerts and traveling to exotic beaches. She is grateful for the time she spends with her daughters and looks forward to continuing their travels throughout the United States and abroad.
