Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share gives back to the community through its Volunteer PTO Program

Christian Care Ministry/ Medi-Sharehas donated almost 9,000 volunteer hours in their local communities since July of 2019. CCM is committed to promoting volunteerism by allotting each employee up to 24 hours a year of paid release time to volunteer. Sharing is the heart of Medi-Share, where members share each other’s medical expenses. Volunteerism is just one more way that employees can show the love of Christ through acts of service. These hours can be used to volunteer at a charity, church, or school of their choice.

Christian Care Ministry’s leadership team recently volunteered with New Life Mission, a Christ-centered organization that equips homeless moms and empowers families to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of homelessness.

“Every time we get to serve in a volunteer outing like today at New Life’s new property, I’m reminded how enjoyable it is to work together to help members of our community through wonderful Christian organizations like New Life Mission. I just think the Lord wired us to be together, to work together, to help others,” said Christian Care Ministry CEO Scott Reddig

“Getting to know our team mates while serving for a higher purpose is rewarding, but also fun!  Working together in a completely new environment is so amazing and learning about and joking with colleagues is unmatched! While we might know that missions PTO is good for the recipient organization, in reality it is a much bigger gift for CCM and our teams. So thankful to be a part of this mission,” said Medi-Share’s Medical Director Alesia Greene.

Christian Care Ministry employees volunteer across their communities in places such as: Vacation Bible School camps for kids, Children’s Hunger Project, American Police Hall of Fame and Museum, local schools and making meals for The Haven. Departments often seek out opportunities to serve together, including the leadership team most currently volunteering at New Life Mission.

“What a big blessing to have this team be the first team to serve The Village! We are humbled and honored that He has brought a ministry like Christian Care Ministry to walk alongside us. Their support is encouragement and is an example of God’s hands and feet, His body serving our community,” said New Life Missions Volunteer Coordinator Karem Sapp.
